What is a visual timetable?
Who can benefit from using a visual timetable?
Training is offered to show how to use a visual timetable effectively and how it is used so that a child can understand a routine, and alleviate any anxiety.
Visual Timetables
What is a visual timetable?
A visual timetable shows a child what is happening during a session at school or nursery and at home, using pictures, symbols or photos.
Small photos or pictures are placed on the timetable using Velcro, to represent the activities for a session. A ‘finished’ box is used, and can be stuck at the bottom of the timetable.
The timetable can be used With individual children, small groups, or larger classes.

What is Sing & Sign?
Sing and sign is an original British infant signing programme, developed by speech and language specialists. The aim of sing and sign is to encourage your infant to communicate using signs. At Early Signs we offer fun, engaging sing and sign sessions encouraging your child to learn through song.
What is a Song Board?
A song board is used when there are children who are unable to use language to request for a song. Pictures that represent each song is on a board, giving the opportunity for a child to communicate for their favourite song.
Training is offered showing how to use a song board in the most effective way to support children’s language and communication, so that they understand and feel included in carpet time and at song time.

Makaton is a innovative language programme that utilises speech, symbols and signs to assist communication. With Makaton signs are used with speech in spoken word order to help provide clues about what someone is saying. Find out more about Makaton here.
